Liferaft test

We had the liferaft serviced today in Palma Majorca. And because it was a few years since it was last out of its shell, I thought it would be good to see it exploded. The liferaft technicians were very thorough and checked it visually first. They unpaacked it, checked the cylinder and valves and then pulled the inflation cord. The raft filled up well and was in as-new condition no need for concern.

New forestay

The forestay is off and the furling gear is being removed here to enable the forestay cable to be replaced. This uses special low stretch Dyform stainless steel cable to resist the high loads in the rig. After 7 years use, it was good to strip this doen and replace [...]

The Ocean Free stamp

When we entered Montenegro, they required us to have a ships stamp. The harbour authority in Porto Montenegro made this stamp for us.
